Technical Advisory Support for Strengthening Youth Engagement in Participatory Budgeting
Implementation period: July 20 – October 30, 2026

Economic Development and Research Center (EDRC), with the support of GIZ, is implementing the project “Technical Advisory Support for Strengthening Youth Engagement in Participatory Budgeting” to support the Government of Armenia in strengthening youth participation in the country’s Participatory Budgeting (PB) system.

The project aims to develop evidence-based, legally feasible recommendations to strengthen Armenia’s Participatory Budgeting methodological and regulatory framework, enabling more meaningful and inclusive engagement of young people throughout the PB cycle.

Expected results include an analytical assessment of youth engagement in Participatory Budgeting, a set of practical policy and methodological recommendations, and draft amendments to the existing regulatory framework to support more effective and sustainable youth participation in local decision-making.
