Support to Climate Budget Tagging of the 2027 State Budget
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – Global Environment Facility (GEF) (October – December 2026)

Economic Development and Research Center (EDRC), with the support of the UNDP-GEF project “Strengthening the National Framework for Climate Transparency in Armenia (CBIT 2),” is providing technical assistance to strengthen the implementation and institutionalization of Climate Budget Tagging (CBT) in Armenia.

The project aims to improve the identification, classification and analysis of climate-related public expenditures and strengthen the integration of climate considerations into budget planning.

Specific activities include reviewing and validating climate budget tagging submissions for the 2027 State Budget; consolidating the CBT database and analysing planned climate-related expenditures; preparing the 2025 Climate Public Expenditure and Institutional Review (CPEIR); delivering targeted training and on-the-job support to public authorities․
