The Agenda 2030 was adopted by all United Nations member states in September 2015. It is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity. The Agenda 2030 includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are integrated and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, social and environmental.
The purpose of this assignment is to build capacities in municipalities on Agenda 2030, SDG framework and municipalities role in the achievement of SDGs. For building proper capacities it’s necessary to find out the existing gaps in strategic development within municipalities and the possible ways and methods of aligning strategic development agenda of municipalities with SDGs and their targets.
