On October 3, the Economic Development and Research Center (EDRC) presented the results of the study “ENHANCING EQUITY MECHANISMS IN PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING” to stakeholders of the participatory budgeting process, including representatives from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure (MTAI), the Ministry of Finance (MoF), local municipalities, donors, and the expert community. The study, conducted with financial support from GIZ, aims to improve the current participatory budgeting voting methodology to enhance the competitiveness of small communities.
EDRC experts discussed the results of testing the models proposed by stakeholders during the first co-design workshop organized by GIZ, as well as relevant models used internationally, and proposed practical solutions for improving the current model.
The project is implemented by GIZ under the “The Integrated Municipal Development in Armenia” project.
