Since November 23, EDRC experts Karine Harutyunyan and Lilit Hakobyan have been in Mannheim, Germany, participating in a research conference dedicated to the digital transformation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Eastern Partnership region.
As part of the visit, they also took part in study visits to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Gründerschmiede, one of Germany’s largest university start-up centers, both located in Karlsruhe. These visits provided valuable insights into innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship support mechanisms, and models of university–industry cooperation.
The initiative is implemented by the Institut für Mittelstandsforschung der Universität Mannheim (IfM Mannheim) with the support of GIZ under the Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the countries of the Eastern Partnership (DT4SME) project.
