Experts from the Economic Development and Research Center (EDRC) held a discussion with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the assignment “Development of a Framework Regulation for the Implementation of State-Delegated Powers in the Republic of Armenia,” supported by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The discussion focused on the legal framework and practical implementation of state-delegated powers assigned to communities in the internal affairs sector, as well as on clarifying the division of functions between communities and the responsibilities of state bodies.

The assignment aims to clarify the powers and responsibilities of the state and communities, improve financing procedures, and strengthen accountability and oversight mechanisms.

The initiative is implemented with the support of the governments of Germany and Switzerland by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), within the framework of the “Integrated Municipal Development in Armenia” project, and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.
