The Economic Development and Research Center (EDRC), within the framework of the assignment “Developing a Framework for Regulating the Implementation of State-Delegated Powers in the Republic of Armenia,” supported by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), held a discussion with representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
The discussion focused on the legal framework, implementation arrangements, and financing mechanisms for state-delegated powers in the agricultural sector, particularly those related to veterinary services, phytosanitary measures, and agricultural quarantine.
The assignment aims to clarify the division of powers and responsibilities between the state and local governments, establish more effective financing arrangements, and strengthen accountability and oversight mechanisms for the implementation of delegated powers.
The initiative is implemented with the support of the governments of Germany and Switzerland by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), within the framework of the “Integrated Municipal Development in Armenia” project, and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia
